About Me

I'm a second-year PhD student in the Alliance for Technology, Learning, & Society (ATLAS) PhD program for Technology, Media, & Society at the University of Colorado Boulder. I'm a Colorado native and University of Colorado alumni with Bachelors and Masters degrees in Computer Science, and a minor in Technology, Arts, and Media. My involvement in ATLAS has spanned over many years and the interdisciplinary work I've done with the Institute has greatly influenced my research.

I'm also presently an NSF GK12 Fellow on the ECSITE Project. I'm working in an 8th Grade classroom at Trail Ridge Middle School in Longmont, CO. I use my background in Computer Science to teach the students how computation can relate to their science activities. I just finished a three-week long project toteach students data visualization, human-centered computing, and research skills through the use of Infographics.

Academic Pursuits
