About Me

I'm a student in the Alliance for Technology, Learning, & Society (ATLAS) PhD program for Technology, Media, & Society at the University of Colorado Boulder. I'm a Colorado native and University of Colorado alumni with Bachelors and Masters degrees in Computer Science, and a minor in Technology, Arts, and Media. My involvement in ATLAS has spanned over many years and the interdisciplinary work I've done with the Institute has greatly influenced my research.

Academic Pursuits

My primary work is on undergraduate Computer Science Education. My focus is on student hackathons as an informal and subversive learning environment. I'm interested in studying how norms are created and re-formed within these spaces. My research aims to explore and describe student experiences organizing and participating in student hackathons.
