About Me

I'm a third-year PhD student in the Alliance for Technology, Learning, & Society (ATLAS) PhD program for Technology, Media, & Society at the University of Colorado Boulder. I'm a Colorado native and University of Colorado alumni with Bachelors and Masters degrees in Computer Science, and a minor in Technology, Arts, and Media. My involvement in ATLAS has spanned over many years and the interdisciplinary work I've done with the Institute has greatly influenced my research.

Academic Pursuits

I'm interested in studying how cultural norms are created and enforced within introductory computing classes. I am studying the differences between various computing programs offered at CU Boulder. My research aims to discover how classroom and program environments affect student’s, and particularly women’s, academic trajectories.
